Reza Athari is a member of the California bar and an international lawyer. He practiced law outside the United States prior to admission to the California bar in 1996. JAMES D. MILLS PARTNER ****
James Mills is an associate at Reza Athari, Mills, Fink & Associates, PLLC. Mr. Mills graduated with a J.D. from Rutgers School of Law in Camden, New Jersey in May 1997. After law school, Mr. Mills headed the immigration department of several large, multinational corporations. Mr. Mills headed the Employability Status Assistance Program with Catholic Charities in Florida before relocating to Las Vegas, NV and working at Reza Athari, Mills, Fink & Associates, PLLC.
Mr. Mills has focused on the field of immigration law for the majority of his career and has very broad experience in the field. Mr. Mills has experience in Business and Family Immigration, Naturalization, Immigration Consequences of Crimes, Humanitarian and other Visas, Consular Processing, in court Deportation and Removal Defense, Labor Certifications, Asylum, Religious Visas, Cuban Adjustment, and Waivers.
Prior to attending law school, Mr. Mills was a computer hardware engineer for 12 years, working extensively with U.S. Government Agencies. He resided in Rota, Spain for more than six years while working under contract for the United States Navy. Consequently, he traveled extensively throughout Europe and North Africa and gained a solid understanding and awareness of other cultures.

ROBERT CARPENTER*****
Mr. Carpenter has represented individuals and various organizations before the Department of Homeland Security and the Departments of Labor and State. His thirty (30) years of immigration experience has included representing professional athletes, Coaches and Managers (Major League Baseball and National Hockey League) in acquiring permanent residency. He frequently defendants foreign nationals in removal proceedings, focusing on asylum, withholding of removal and Convention Against Torture Relief, cancellation of removal and adjustment of status applications in front of the Executive Office of Immigration Review and the Board of Immigration Appeals, as well as challenging denials in federal court. His work includes dozens of federal court cases involving undue delays and unfair applications of the law by the government, and prevailed in the precedent-setting decision of Ming Wei Chen v. Sessions, 864 F.3d 536 (7th Cir. 2017). His work also includes high profile, successful efforts to prevent the US government from executing removal orders where changed country conditions exist, meriting reopening for fear-based claims. He is a member of multiple Federal District Courts and United States Courts of Appeals, and a long-time Member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association, whose fellow members he often mentors. Mr. Carpenter spent significant time in 2021 assisting with Afghan evacuees on a pro bono basis. He is passionate about protecting human rights for all people, and assuring the rule of law is followed by all courts in the United States.

MARIA L MILANO**
Maria L. Milano ,Esq., is a summa cum laude graduate of Utica College of Syracuse University where she received her B.A. in International Relations. She Went on to obtain her juris doctorate with a concertation in International Law from Syracuse University College of Law and was admitted to the Nevada State Bar in 1999.
After Moving to Las Vegas, Ms. Milano clerked for Senior Judge, Carl Christensen, at the Eighth Judicial District Court, Family Division. Following her clerkship, Ms. Milano went on to practice in the fields of personal injury, family law and criminal law, handling such matters as automobile collisions, wrongful deaths, slip and falls, DUI, divorce, separations, child custody, child support, adoption, guardianship, and paternity cases.

Gary S. Fink received his Juris Doctorate from Rutgers School of Law in Camden, New Jersey. He received his Bachelor of Arts in History from Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey. As an undergraduate, Mr. Fink also studied European History and Architecture at New College, Oxford University in Oxford, England.

Nicholas D. Pitaro, Esq., is a graduate of the University of Nevada Las Vegas University where he received his B.A. in Sociology. He Went on to obtain his juris doctorate from William S. Boyd of Law and was admitted to the Nevada State Bar in 2019.
A lifelong Nevadan, Mr. Pitaro clerked for the Honorable Douglas Smith, at the Eighth Judicial District Court. Following his clerkship, Mr. Pitaro went on to practice in the fields of criminal and civil law, handling such matters as criminal prosecution and defense, landlord-tenant law, and collections.
